The Oakhurst Senior Volunteer Program (SVP), and our 456 Fund, is a group of Volunteers working in support of, and to the benefit of, the Oakhurst Area of the California Highway Patrol (CHP). We are Volunteers only - supporting our local community through assisting our local CHP Officers and staff functions.
NOTE: The SVP 456 Fund has NO direct affiliation with either the State of California or the California Highway Patrol.
| The Volunteers of the Oakhurst SVP 456 Fund provide a variety of support, administrative, maintenance and fundraising functions to support our local California Highway Patrol Area Officers. Support and Administrative functions include being at the Oakhurst CHP Office for routine public contact and messaging, providing general office support, and public "Good Will" functions.
The Mission of the SVP 456 Fund is as follows:
1. To support the men and women of the Oakhurst Area of the California Highway Patrol,
2. to support the members of the Oakhurst Senior Volunteer Program,
3. to support community awareness of the CHP and SVP Programs,
4. and to support youth programs and awareness of the CHP and SVP Programs.
Our Fundraising efforts provide a variety of extraordinary CHP Patrol Officer benefits not provided by the State of California - including printed Informational Handouts, CHP Patrol Officer recreational facilities (and maintenance), and various other benefits.
